What’s with those hats?

The Phrygian cap has become a symbol to DCMJ, even if nobody else knows what it means. According to Adam Eidinger, “During the Revolutionary War colonists donned Phrygian caps and constructed Liberty Poles as acts of defiance against the British government’s unethical taxation of colonies without representation in British parliament.”

Eidinger views his groups advocacy for marijuana reform as being similar to the struggles of our forefathers, and the hat has become a symbol of that struggle.  The cap is also visible of the seal of the U.S. Senate and has been used in artistic representations to symbolize the pursuit of freedom and liberty.
